Help my dog is pregnant
If your dog is pregnant there are several tips that can help ease her labor and insure a healthy delivery and healthy pups:

1. The best tip is to insure your dog is happy and healthy before the pregnancy
2. Create a warm place for the delivery in a secluded part of the house
3. Protect against drafts and place lots of warm towels (that are junk towels)
4. Do not exercise your pregnant dog other than a short walk two to three times per day. No jumping or running if possible.
5. Do not bathe your dog during pregnancy but keep clean only with brushing and dry toweling
6. At the middle of the pregnancy increase the amount of food by 50%
7. Pregnancy in your dog can last between 50 and 70 days.
8. Provide the healthiest possible food and plenty of fresh water
9. Your dog should be able to go through the labor by herself and clean the pups and begin feeding them
10. Have a vet’s number on hand in case any complications in the delivery arise
Why not bathe?????????????????
Sometimes a bitch will display general signs of dog pregnancy without actually being pregnant. This will happen as she comes off a heat cycle, and it doesn’t seem to matter whether or not there was any breeding activity. Rather, it seems to be brought on psychologically, and the symptoms usually subside within about a month.
Your bitch may also decide to “adopt” some babies
to fill the void during this time. This may be puppies from another litter on the premises, or she may substitute objects such as toys or stuffed animals. Borrowing puppies from another bitch can lead a potentially dangerous situation and calls for your intervention; however, if she is only playing mom with toys, give her time to come to terms with the situation on her own before removing the items, then try to get her focused on other activities.
