Pets Chocolate Toxicity

Chocolate can be hazardous for many animals including dogs and cats. Chocolate consists xanthine complexes including caffeine, theophylline, and theobromine, which can be lethal for pet consumption. If your pet does eat chocolate encourage the pet to vomit by using a few tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide or pet medicine designed to induce vomitting. Either way plesae seek vet assistance as soon as possible.
