Setup your saltwater fish tank in a few easy steps:

1. Select fish that will do well in a saltwater fish tank. Do some research and find some calm fish.

2. Add 4 watts of light per gallon in the fish tank. Coral will require more light.

3. Create the bottom of the tank with live plants and gravel.

4. Keep the tank out of direct sunlight

5. Select a good saltwater filter

6. Carefully measure and maintain the saltwater balance, temperature, and pH levels.

This is VERY basic information, I highly recommend reading more at sites for Marine Fish and invertebrate information.

In topics such as lighting the 4 watts per gallon suggestion can vary widely based on lumens per watt, Kelvin output and much more.

Filtration can also vary depending on bio load, fish to be kept and much more here as well.

Bottom line is do your research and this web site is a good place to start.
